Signal/Space/Body

We move through a world saturated with signals we cannot see, hear, or touch: electromagnetic fields, radio transmissions, cellular networks, the constant traffic of machines talking to machines. These systems structure nearly every part of contemporary life, yet they remain fundamentally illegible to human senses. We depend on infrastructures we cannot perceive and trust transmissions we cannot feel. Signal / Space / Body exists at this threshold, in the gap between what surrounds us and what we can sense. Signal / Space / Body is a live performance system that makes the invisible legible through the body. A constellation of transmitters activates the stage as an electromagnetic environment, an unseen architecture of signal that shifts and pulses across the performance space. A performer moves through this field equipped with a small sensing technology worn on the body, translating electromagnetic presence into vibration, pulse, and touch. The stage becomes a terrain to be read rather than simply occupied, and the performer becomes both dancer and instrument, someone whose movement may be shaped in real time by forces the audience cannot perceive.
